Helping you feel more like yourself, not more like someone else.

For me, personal image consultancy has never been about following fashion for the sake of it, fitting neatly into a style category, or being told what you should wear.

It’s about understanding yourself better.

When you know what works for your body, colouring, personality and lifestyle, getting dressed becomes easier. Shopping becomes more purposeful. And most importantly, you can make choices with confidence rather than constantly second-guessing yourself.

That’s what I want every woman I work with to leave with.

WHAT MATTERS TO ME

Honest advice, delivered with care.

Working with someone’s wardrobe is surprisingly personal.

Clothes can carry memories, guilt, money, body changes, old versions of ourselves and all sorts of emotions we don’t necessarily expect to find hanging on a rail.

So I take that trust seriously.

Honest advice. Practical help. Confidence that lasts.

HI, I’M CAROLE

My route into image consultancy has never been particularly conventional.

I moved from London to Paris at 16, learned French and went on to study Art History at the Sorbonne while working. By my early twenties, I had started my first business.

Over the years that followed, my career took me through photography, events, business and eventually to Manhattan, where I was immersed in the worlds of fashion and design. It was there that I first discovered image consultancy and experienced first-hand how powerful it could be to understand why certain colours, shapes and styles simply worked.

After returning to the UK, I trained with House of Colour as an Image Consultant and went on to run the Bath branch. I later trained with Dale Carnegie & Associates and spent a decade coaching and training businesses across the South of England.

But I kept coming back to one thing.

Helping someone understand themselves better, then watching their confidence change because of it.

A different way of thinking about personal style

I don’t believe confidence comes from following more rules.

My original training gave me an incredibly strong grounding in colour and image, but over time my own approach evolved.

I became less interested in giving women a prescribed list of what they should wear and far more interested in helping them understand why something works.

That means I won’t tell you that you can only wear certain colours. I won’t insist you get rid of something you love because it doesn’t tick the right box. And I certainly won’t send you away believing you need to replace your entire wardrobe.

We work with real life.

Your clothes. Your budget. Your body. Your personality. The shops you have access to. And, importantly, how you feel when you look in the mirror.

Guidance, not dependency

The best outcome is that eventually, you don’t need me.

That might sound like a strange thing for someone running a business to say, but it matters enormously to me.

I don’t want you to leave a session thinking, “I’d better ask Carole before I buy anything.”

I want you to walk into a shop and know what you’re looking for.

I want you to understand why one neckline works better than another. Why one shade makes you come alive and another doesn’t. Why a piece you’ve owned for years suddenly works when you style it differently.

My job is to teach you how to see what I see.

Because confidence that depends on someone else isn’t really confidence.

The aim is for you to trust yourself.

WHY “LIGHTHOUSE”?

Stand strong in who you are

I’ve always been inspired by lighthouses, especially the offshore ones, that are steadfast and strong, resistant to huge waves crashing around them. For me, that’s what real confidence looks and feels like.

It isn’t about life becoming calm or everyone approving of how we look. It’s about knowing ourselves well enough to stay grounded when the waves come.

When you discover what suits you and understand why it works
you stop second-guessing yourself. You can walk into a room, face whatever the day brings and feel strong in who you are.

That’s what Lighthouse Style Confidence can give you. Not a set of rules to hide behind, but the confidence to stand tall in your own choices.

You don’t need a whole new wardrobe. You need to know what actually works for you.

You may already own far more clothes than you realise you can use. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh pair of eyes, some practical knowledge and permission to let go of the things that no longer fit your life.

From there, getting dressed can become simpler, lighter and far more enjoyable. Ready to see what could work differently?
